I’ve always felt a little off about posting on Mother’s Day, especially because, like you mentioned, my mom doesn’t even have instagram. If I ever had a picture loaded up ready to post, I often found myself asking, “why am I posting this picture? Who is this for?” That line of questioning usually resulted in me discarding that story.

Same with me! I feel like if I put that effort into making my mum a nice card instead then it's more genuine

I loved this one so much, I never thought of it this way and I'm guilty of doing it too! Such an interesting perspective on it

Having been blessed (cursed? Both?) with an exceedingly young mother I never had to think about this as posting a picture pre-me would be well….tough 😂 over the years I have posted quite a few of her at younger points in her life, but it’s always been a celebration of her…and also very much how I think of her and always see her. That is the mum that raised me.

On a different note- my favorite Mother’s Day tradition BY FAR is the Great War that always erupts online on this day regarding fur babies vs. human babies. (I have both human and fur babies so have no skin in this game lol) it’s both hysterically funny and a somewhat disturbing example of how little tolerance and kindness humans can show to each other.

Still….I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get the popcorn ready every year as I wait to see who does motherhood best 😂
