I love this—so much. I have ADHD, and I actually find that daydreaming is one of the superpowers that come with it. I have an ability to daydream without overthinking, and let daydreams be just that—dreams and ideas.

I've also just started The Artist's Way, yay! Reading this has got me excited x

Aw thank you so much. I bloody love the fact that it is your superpower. Let me know how you go with The Artists Way! Just remember you can take longer to do 1 week if you need - don’t try rush it! x

OMG, Fahrenheit 451 popped into my head while reading this. I didn't explicitly make the connection, but my mind wandered there!

Where it will go

When I went through my divorce my therapist recommended The Artists Way. It’s been 20 years since I’ve looked at that book but I think it’s time to maybe revisit it.

Thanks for the interesting post in defense of daydreaming. Yes!

For the first time in over a decade, I am trying to flex that creative muscle, and WOW is it so much harder than I ever could have anticipated. Feels very much emaciated. Will be ordering both of the books mentioned and am so looking forward to where this takes me! Thank you for this :)

I daydream a lot. Way too much, I have maladaptive daydreaming and it kinda ruins my daily life.

I have a whole other life in my head, and I can daydream during movies, conversations, at school… not just during the commute or having ‘scenarios’ inside my head at night.

I have insomnia and it's making it worse. I can spend hours listening to music and daydream.

It took too much time of my life and I don't know how to stop it.
